FYI, Broken Does Not Mean Beaten

Gods! Couldn't even let them have a month or even a week of happiness together...

If you don't know about the biggest wedding our little community has ever seen, you probably won't care too much about the death of one of the grooms. I swear that if I ever get the chance, I will beat Prosper into unconsciousness with my bare hands and drag him to wherever Elaine or Jacob happen to be so they can decide his fate... if Shady doesn't rip out his guts and use them to garrote the bastard first. No wonder we haven't seen him in a few days.

It may be a bit of good news that Konaa has retrieved Zero's sword, or not. I'm undecided considering the events which led up to it and what happened after. For many, it is still a symbol of hope despite Zero's madness. I hope it can be reforged and used for the good of us all. But beyond that, I hope that Konaa will be okay. Lives are more important than symbols, and a life well lived is more inspiring than a broken sword.

It's also worth noting, though I have never met the man, that Rhodes is apparently not trustworthy. Don't make any deals with him unless you have a small army to watch your back.

  1. Broken does not mean beaten, indeed...

I hope everyone's all right-It seems like things are going to hell in a handbasket for everyone this week.

  2. Too much to do. Too little time. Broken never means beaten.

  3. I just wish I could do more... being a pacifist becomes more difficult daily, especially in a case like this. I never met Cam, but from everything I have read from him and about him, he did not deserve to die like this. I don't know how to protect people beyond offering support and an open door to anyone who needs it.

  5. You're welcome and I'm glad that you're still moving forward. Heroes are made from the people who, being knocked down, get back right back up again.

  7. I can try Derek, but I think before anyone can help you, you'll need to find a way out of the cabin or find out where the cabin is so someone can come find you. Take things step by step and figure out how you can work with what you have.

You obviously have a computer and it has an internet connection. Have you tried checking the files/documents or looking at the surfing history? There might be clues there as to your location or the identity of your kidnapper.

Aside from your bed and the computer, is there anything else at all in the cabin? Can you hear anything? What is the composition of the building- stone, wood? If the bed has metal parts, you may be able to use them to make tools to get out or weapons to deal with whoever has imprisoned you.

  8. Call it what you will. It happened, that's that.

And I'm fine. But thanks for the concern.
